Banks still not lending to developers
The level of business investment dropped by almost a quarter in the final three months of last year, figures showed recently.
Small business and developers: Bank business lending is down by £12bn
The fall - the fastest rate since records began in 1967 - brought fears for the strength of the recovery and came as RBS revealed it had failed to meet its target to increase lending to businesses by £16bn last year. In fact, the bank's business lending fell by £12bn.
